We are having a girl!!

On Monday we went for the anatomy ultrasound. It was the coolest thing I have ever seen. We got to see everything about our little girl including the 4 chambers of her heart!! We saw her little toes and fingers also. The Dr. said she is still batting 1000 in everything. She looks great and is growing at the speed she is supposed to. (As for me I might be growing a little too fast :))
So, we are having a girl. Yea!! Actually I am pretty scared about the girl, but I am sure she will be perfect. Justin is so excited about a girl. Now we are just going to try and narrow a name down. We have a few options but now that it is officially a girl the name will be easier for us to think about.

6 days and counting...

We can hardly wait until Monday when we go for our big ultrasound. During this ultrasound they check on many things, but most importantly the love bug will be big enough to tell the sex. After doing more research with the Chinese calendar it looks like this baby could be a boy or girl. Who knows? We are excited about either for sure, we are just excited to find out what it is. I promise to let everyone know as soon as we do. We are hoping everything just works out for the best.

First of many growth spirts

Hi! So this week was very exciting because I really felt the growth spurt coming. The week started out a little painful and stressful, but now things are going much better. My body is not too happy about the changes that are happening. It seems to be resisting while our love bug is growing and growing. Things are much better, but I am sure this is the first of many growth spurts we will go through. Thankfully the love bug is not going through the pain that I am during this time.

This week I also went to the doctor for more tests, and they all came back negative. We were relieved about those results. We also made our next appointment which is the big ultrasound. This is the one that will tell us the sex of the baby :) We are very excited about this visit. Hopefully the love bug will work with us and reveal what it is.... Check the baby growth, yikes it is growing day to day. I can't wait to see what it will look like after Thanksgiving and Christmas. I can only imagine.

Hi! Here is an ultrasound I got done today and it is a little blurry but, a good one. We got a close up of the nose and chin. They are just so cute :) Jenny you will appreciate this, I think it has my big nose and your chin. We will see what happens, but that is my prediction. We had our first real guess the other night about what the sex of the baby. As I was reading one of my many books now I read about this great guess. Once Justin got home I told him I read something great, but I just couldn't remember what it was. So I was on the search through my books, b/c I couldn't even remember which book it was in. Well when I found it, I found out something very funny. The book said if you are finding you are having trouble remembering things you are more likely to have a girl. I thought that was too funny, b/c I couldn't even remember that. We will find out what it is in the middle of December, but as of now my guess is a girl. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Today is an exciting day because I am offically in all of the books in am reading starting my second trimester. This means I am starting the most comfortable and exciting time of the pregnacy. Also, by the end of this trimister I should have a belly that really looks pregnant and not one that looks like I ate too many pieces of pizza last night.
Recently we have been reading more and more about pregnancy and what is going on with the baby and my body from week to week. Last night we both had to laugh because of what I read in all three books I have. They all said something very close to this. "You might feel like you are going crazy, but you really are not." I guess the funniest thing is, is I have been asking Justin this for about 2 weeks now, am I going crazy. Well we are in luck because the book we got for Justin even has an answer for that question. They suggest you always say "NO!" I told Justin I did like that answer :) I guess the books are helpful in many ways.

Here is my first belly photo! It is so funny to share b/c at no other time in your life do you celebrate a belly bump. I am getting used to the celebration of the bump and can't wait for our love bug to grow more and more. The photo attached is me at 13 weeks and 3 days. I will try and keep you updated monthly.

HI Everyone! So this is my first time doing this blog thing so I hope you hang in with me b/c I am sure I will get better as I go on. Also you have to understand that if this is my blog some how something will always be misspelled :) I hope you don't mind. I promise to do my best but spell check only checks words it understands.

So I wanted to go ahead and let everyone know how we came up with the name for our blog. I knew I wanted a nickname for the baby growing inside of me and I had been trying out a lot of them and none of them seemed to fit. Finally we came up with Love Bug and it just seemed to fit well. So this is where our name came from and hopefuly this will be a name that is passed down to the love bug when it comes time.

I am 13 weeks now and I am a little confused if I am in my second trimester or not. I have heard after 13 weeks and after 14 weeks so I am guessing it is somewhere in between. Things are starting to get better for me and I am getting more and more energy. I didn't even have to take a nap today! This is a huge thing. I hoping sometime I get enough energy to make it to the gym 2 or 3 times a week. I can do 1 time just fine but I have not been able to motivate myself to take the next step. I have my sights on next week being a good one.
